The Law Enforcement Services program prepares students for entry-level positions in local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and private security. Students earn 1 unit for each course completed in this cluster and courses must be completed in succession.
Introduction to Law and Public Safety is a prerequisite to Law Enforcement 1.

Create a personal plan for a career in public safety

Law Enforcement 1
Entry level requirements of a police officer .
Lecture demonstration & hands-on drills. Police, courts, & corrections. Search & arrest techniques, fingerprints, & forensic science. Investigate procedures used to solve crimes

Law Enforcement 2
Focus on more advanced police officer techniques. Report writing, felony traffic stops, & testifying in court. Opportunity to become CPR certified. Guest speakers from law enforcement field will speak to students about their professions
